Usernames started out with a webcam video I made of myself reciting every username I have had since I first started using the Internet. Later, I asked a group of some of my closest online friends to do the same. At first the project was supposed to be a loose study of online personas and how they (and the people who have them) grow and change over time—and it still is that. However, it is also a portrait of some great people who are very special to me.
